Here is my fully restored 1950's VMC 81 D Drink Machine. This is what is called a generic (no embossment). Meaning it was built at the factory for no specific brand . Any company could buy it and put thier colors and decals on or possibly get VMC to do it for them. This one began life as an all white machine. At some point a Coke distrib. got it and painted it red and added Coke decals. I could not tell what company originally had it at new so done it in Orange Crush. Many people would have cut this machine up and welded in an embossment . However I did not. I felt it was important to kelp this machine in its original configuration! As the generics are getting very hard to find probably at least 10 times rarer that a "Coke".
